If allowed, Dib will sleep well past noon, usually because he's up way too late (night terrors, insomnia, work, busy-mindedness). Because of this he says he is just more of a night owl and he loves evenings because of the darkness and the stars.

While that's true, his actual favourite time of day is midday, right about the time he'd get out of skool for the day back on earth or get off work in the summers. It meant he got to hang out with Zim, who was always in a better mood when it was bright and warm out.
